Ma Me Pa

the latest addition to his gang of toys is "Ma Me Pa". I bought this last saturday when atharv was sleeping at home and I had to go to collect few things from the market. while returning back home I saw this shop "MO" bank opposite to Shopper Stop on bannerghatta road.

After looking at all the various toys in this shop I finally settled for "Ma Me Pa". A gang of turtles whose shell is in the shape of ball and rotates when pulled through a attached string.

Reached home and gave to my son. he was very excited to see this, didn't allow me to open the packing. if i touched it he would simply scream at top of his voice. Ok Ok you have it. lets see if you can open it. I got impressed with the style he opened it....bang bang on the floor thrice, the packing didn't open. He looked at me with wink... i said... let me unpack for you... :)

Finally after seeing the toy... he did pull the string the way i showed him but just for a minute or so and next moment... poor turtles were hanging in the air.... crashed to the floor finally... even though there was a bit of sound but that did make him smile and these steps were repeated henceforth.... :)

ah..well, i guess thats the way a boy plays with his toys.

A Walk in the Garden

It was for past few days we were thinking of taking Atharva to a park near by. Yesterday evening when he started indicating to go out of home for sometime in evening as a daily routine which he does, he didn't know where his mom was taking him, as usual he may have felt like a normal daily evening time pass in and around the apartment but the moment he stepped in the park this is what his reaction was:

look at the smile... posed for a good snap of himself, (now he knows that a picture of him will be captured so he does the best to give his best possible pose)

I am ready mom...click me

yo baby...!!!

A few initial steps in the garden made him smile to glory, he got so excited that he couldn't control himself and walked past his mom as well. After taking few steps ahead he may have felt like where did mom go... so he slowed down a bit (or may be his mom walked fast to catch him up) and gave a smile to his mom who was behind the camera capturing these lovely moments.

Mom....Catch me if you can...!!!

How will you react when you step in a park... you will first take a deep breath, then relax... enjoy the peace and calm environment, flow with the wind. But Atharva was like....(though) taking small steps he ran on the tracks in the park with full excitement, joy... didn't feel tired. I am sure he definitely enjoyed every bit of the time he was in the park as seen from his smile glowing on his face .

my heart goes... garden garden...!!!

He Ended First Day with a bang...!!!

It was yet another day in our life. Normal routine which was supposed to be followed as usual. My son Atharva got up at normal time as he did in year 2008..., both of us wished him "Happy New Year", followed by lots of hugs n kisses..... and the response was as sweet and charming....he simled all the time.

After getting him ready with a new dress... these were few good moments which got captured through the lenses in the first half day of the first day of the year 2009.

Wishing friends/family a happy new year.... :)

Still busy.... wishing:)

Posing while pretending talking to his gang.... :)

oh my god.... look at him.... (can you do this?)

Around early evening Atharva started behaving like a spoil brat giving us the signal... got to go out...so got him dressed (of course we also got geared up).... took him to small play area of shopper stop at bannerghatta road..... where he lots all his senses, got highly excited and played like an emerging expert of toys..... all we could see was.... he juming, dancing, falling, rising.... filled with joy n smiling to glory..... :)

While we did a small shopping by opening the 2009 year's account at shopper stop... we decided to out for dinner while driving back home. Searching for options... driving through the streets of koramangala... we ended at a restaurant we had never been... "More than Paranthas". Good food, good ambiance, all that... lighting shightings..... :)

After moving the eyes from the various menus, we ordered our dinner. While we were reviving our taste buds, we got to hear a sound of glass break.... we weren't surprised to see that it was from our table.... our dearest boy "Atharva" takes all the credit for it. After effect of this incident was.... he smiled like an innocent boy and we could sense this..... Mom, Dad.... this is the way you should end the very first day of the year.... "with a bang....!!!"

His Xmas Gifts by SantaClause

It was as usual morning rather a Thursday blues but the best part was it is holiday and that too a week day off. Coincidentally it is Christmas... Dec 25th 2008.

Being a Xmas day, I decided it shouldn't go off as dull as the previous Xmas's. So to make it more exciting and thrilling I started thinking of better rather best options. Lots of options struck my mind like go out with family for a dinner, go for a movie, go for a small long drive etc etc... but all these didn't suit just because of the congested traffic jams in and around bangalore.

Finally the best(est) option that I could see and which was gave me the most satisfaction was to play the role of Santa Clause for the first time in my life. Believe me or not the same thought was expressed by my wife Payal. Both of decided lets go to a good toy store and get some good gifts for our Dearest Prince... "Atharva".

Moment we entered the toy store (few kms away from our home)... Atharva got excited.... he used to point at each and every toy that he could reach and say few words which definitely meant..... this one, this one and this one.

After spending considerable amount of time at the store finally we but all this.
-- A Block game where he needs to identify the shape and insert that block correctly.

-- A Digger Dog which can be pulled along while he takes a stroll in the house.

-- A book which showed some good pictures.

-- and a toy dumper with various buttons when pressed will make different sounds (this toy dumper is a fire brigade dumper).

And after reaching home, Atharva didn't wait for a minute, not even allowing us to unpack the gift.... just continued pointing at the toys and screaming to the max with full excitement. These where few precious moment captured on a Xmas day which made me and my wife feel happy and thought of continuing this tradition henceforth.

I am coming... pepepe..... move off the track.

on to a joy ride.... wanna join.... :)

Say Cheese......... :)

My Little Boy

the count down has begun.... 3...2...1.... bingo.... he gonna be back on sunday and its will be a bang.... its been roughly 5 weeks since Atharva has been away from me n i am waiting for him...completely charged up.... excited .... !!!

No amount of gold could ever compare, to the gift of love that my son shares.
I've been blind and I couldn't see that all the love I've wanted is right here in front of me.
He gives reason to get through another day.
Maybe it's how he loves me in his special little way.
And when it gets hard for me to sleep at night....
He wraps his little arms around me and says God will make things right!
From sweet gentle touches to his bear hugs and a kiss...
He makes this hell on earth seem more like a peaceful bliss.
That great big kool-aid smile and the twinkle in his eyes....
Every time I look at him it makes me want to cry.
But they're not tears of sorrow; they're tears of pride and joy....
Too know that all the love in heaven is wrapped around my little boy
