A Walk in the Garden

It was for past few days we were thinking of taking Atharva to a park near by. Yesterday evening when he started indicating to go out of home for sometime in evening as a daily routine which he does, he didn't know where his mom was taking him, as usual he may have felt like a normal daily evening time pass in and around the apartment but the moment he stepped in the park this is what his reaction was:

look at the smile... posed for a good snap of himself, (now he knows that a picture of him will be captured so he does the best to give his best possible pose)

I am ready mom...click me

yo baby...!!!

A few initial steps in the garden made him smile to glory, he got so excited that he couldn't control himself and walked past his mom as well. After taking few steps ahead he may have felt like where did mom go... so he slowed down a bit (or may be his mom walked fast to catch him up) and gave a smile to his mom who was behind the camera capturing these lovely moments.

Mom....Catch me if you can...!!!

How will you react when you step in a park... you will first take a deep breath, then relax... enjoy the peace and calm environment, flow with the wind. But Atharva was like....(though) taking small steps he ran on the tracks in the park with full excitement, joy... didn't feel tired. I am sure he definitely enjoyed every bit of the time he was in the park as seen from his smile glowing on his face .

my heart goes... garden garden...!!!

I am dedicating this poem to the little hero and his parents.

You were so small my little treasure
watching you grow has been a pleasure.
I remember those first baby steps
Some made you laugh, some made you sweat.

Each day will bring challenges to face
from baby steps to new places.
And as you grow and experience life
I hope you learn to counter all life's strife.

Always remember, my love for you
when you're happy and when you're blue
. It is mistakes you'll make
But, sometimes, though, life's not a cake.

But like baby steps you first took
You will learn, listen and look.
When you consider life as a gift,
it can give you a big lift

Two steps forward, one step back
Determination and persistence never lack
Giant steps, baby steps we all take
But in the end, your attitude it will make.

When certain steps don't work out
Don't sit and pout
Remember how far you have come
From the first baby step to what now you've become

I am proud of you my wonderful treasure
You are special, unique and a wonderful pleasure!

I guess, most of the parents feel the same when they see their little one running around and taking enjoying little things.

Something about the poem:

This is a poem called *Baby Steps* by Catherine Pulsifer, © 2007

This was an inspirational poem that reflected her thoughts for her children as they journey through life. Children were her inspiration.
